Butler Job and Vacancy


​A private client is looking for a Butler to work in a private countryside estate in Gloucestershire. In addition to traditional butler experience, the right candidate should have shooting experience (shooting parties). 

Requirements
  • At least 3 years’ experience as a Butler for private estates
  • Experience of shooting parties
  • Sporting gun handling experience
  • English-speaking 
  • Ability to provide formal service
  • Ability to charge hunting weapons
  • Discreet person
  • Flexible
  • Team player
  • Keen eye for detail

Duties and responsibilities
  • Overseeing the work of housekeepers  
  • Ensuring cleanliness and order in the house
  • Silver care and crystal care
  • Meeting and greeting family guests
  • Serving drinks and wine
  • Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner 
  • Maintaining the wine cellar
  • Flower arrangements along with the housekeepers
  • Hunting wild animals and game
  • Caring for hunting supplies
  • Charging the hunting weapons
  • Reporting to the house manager

Schedule
Flexible, 5 days a week

Accommodation
  • This is a live in position
  • A room in the house for domestic staff is provided
