Head Housekeeper Job
A British family is looking for a dedicated head housekeeper to take care of their lovely property in Luberon, Provence, France. The family members spend approximately 6 month per year in the residence.
The head housekeeper will stay in the estate throughout the year, maintain its cleanliness, liaise with contractors and suppliers and report to the owner. The right candidate should enjoy quiet life in the countryside, be positive, well-organised, attentive to detail, and hold a clean criminal record. This is a live-in position with cozy accommodation provided within the property.
Requirements
- 5-10 years’ experience for private families
- Fluent English and French
- Driving license
- Available and flexible
- Keen eye for detail
- Positive and friendly person
- Clean criminal record
Duties and responsibilities
- Smooth running of the household
- Maintaining cleanliness in the house
- Shopping for groceries and household items
- Laundry and ironing
- Changing bed linen, turning down beds
- Liaising with suppliers and contractors
- Overseeing the work of gardeners
- Running errands
Schedule
5-6 days/week, 40 hours per week
The candidate must be flexible when the principals are in the property
