Companion / Carer in Manchester, UK


An elderly artist is looking for a companion / carer to take care of the flat in the center of Manchester and cook for him. The right candidate should be able to keep company, clean the flat, have basic cooking skills and help the artist with his daily routine. 

Requirements
  • 5 years’ experience working for private family / individual 
  • Driving License
  • Fluent English (French is a plus)
  • Good organizational skills
  • Keen eye for detail 
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Patient 
  • Loving and friendly character
  • Interest in arts as a plus

Duties and responsibilities
  • Helping the Principal with the daily routine when necessary 
  • Keeping the diary of the Principal
  • Responsible for all the matters related to the Principals grooming and attire
  • Cleaning the flat (changing bed linen, moping, dusting, polishing)
  • Laundry and ironing 
  • Taking care of men’s suits
  • Taking care of pieces of arts 
  • Answering phone calls 
  • Cooking light healthy food (breakfast and lunch) 
  • Shopping for groceries, cleaning agents, other household products 
  • Driving the Principal to and from different appointments 
  • Occasional assisting in the painting processes

Schedule
Flexible schedule 
1-6 days / week 
9-10 hours per day

This is a live-out position.
