Butler Job and Vacancy


HNW Private Family residing in San Diego is looking for a Butler to provide a semi-formal service in their beautiful 4-bedroom estate (700 m2). There is also another personnel in the estate (2 housekeepers, chef, gardener, and security) so Butler is required to oversee the work of each of them. 

This is a live-in position. 

Requirements

  • At least 3 years' experience as a Butler in private homes
  • Extensive knowledge in hospitality 
  • Butler certificate or diploma as an advantage
  • Managerial skills
  • Fluent English
  • Knowledge of oenology
  • Ability to provide semi-formal service
  • Skills in making various light beverages 
  • Driving license
  • Good organization skills
  • Communicative skills

Duties and responsibilities
  • Taking care of the whole estate
  • Ensuring the house is clean and tidy at all times
  • Looking after the house, pool, garden…
  • Overseeing the work of all domestic personnel
  • Semi-formal table setting
  • Floral arrangements
  • Maintaining the wine cellar
  • Assisting the family in the arrangement of various events
  • Assisting the chef in menu planning (only during events)
  • Liaising with domestic and household staff, contractors and suppliers
  • Preparation of various soft drinks
  • Serving of food, wine and other beverages
  • Monthly progress report to the family

Schedule
  • Monday – Friday (occasionally weekends)
  • 9a.m to 7p.m
