Private Chef Cook Job and Vacancy


​Amazing opportunity for a professional chef in Durban, South Africa. Good knowledge of Italian, French and Mediterranean cuisines is required. The position is live-in. 

Duties and responsibilities
  • Cooking breakfast, lunch and dinner (for 3-5 people) 
  • Making lists of products and calculating the budget
  • Planning weekly menus
  • Cooking for special occasions (up to 20 people)
  • Table service 
  • Taking care of kitchen supplies 
  • Cleaning the kitchen 

Requirements
  • 3 years’ experience 
  • Food hygiene certificate 
  • Special education 
  • Knowledge of Italian, French and Mediterranean cuisines 
  • Special skills in desserts would be a plus
  • Fluent English
  • Initiative, creative and well-mannered  
  • Flexible 

Schedule
Monday – Friday (8am – 7 pm)
Occasional weekends, holidays and special occasions 

Start – ASAP  
Permanent, full time position
Accommodation provided (the whole floor in the house, fully furnished – bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette, separate entrance)
