Governess Job and Vacancy
A HNW family is looking for a professional French governess for their 3 children (5 years old girls, 9 years old boy). French speaking governess would teach the boy the French language and general etiquette, and would perform nanny duties for the girls. This is a live-in position.
Duties and responsibilities include
- Waking children up in the morning
- Dressing children (choosing clothes, shopping, washing clothes)
- Preparing breakfast and lunch (French cuisine)
- Driving children to and from school/kindergarten
- Teaching French and general etiquette
- Responsibility for children’s general cognitive development
- Preparing fun afterschool activities
- Occasional babysitting in the evenings
- Travelling with the family on holidays (once/twice a year)
- Assisting the housekeepers in cleaning the children’s rooms
Requirements for the candidate
- 5 years’ experience of work for a private family
- Classical education
- Degree in childcare
- First aid certificate
- Fluent French
- Fluent English
- Clean UK driving license
- Multi-skilled, proactive person
- Pet-friendly person
- Good teacher
Working hours
9 hours/day (from 8a.m – 5p.m)
5 days/week
Occasional working weekends
