Yacht Captain Job


​A wonderful opportunity for a yacht captain in Dubai. A wealthy business figure is looking for a captain for his brand-new 156m mega yacht to steer the vessel in the Gulf region under the principal’s directions.  

Duties and responsibilities
  • Ensuring safe navigation and management of the vessel
  • Steer and operate the vessel, using radios, depth finders, radars, lights, buoys, or lighthouses
  • Planning ship's route and itinerary
  • Organising and preparing the boat for the client
  • Ensuring that the ship is clean and well-maintained
  • Managing relations with harbours, ports and docks
  • Checking fuel levels and overall security prior to departure    
  • Interview and hire crewmembers
  • Purchase supplies or equipment

Requirements
  • 5 years’ experience of work for a private family  
  • MCA STCW Master (Yachts)
  • English speaking 
  • Yacht license (50m and above) 
  • Experience in yacht maintenance 
  • Hardworking and attentive to details 
  • Flexible 
  • Well-experienced in handling all types of electronic equipment
  • Good knowledge of the Gulf region sea routs 
  • Familiar with overall safety codes and the safety training of crew

Friday to Sunday (24/7)
