House Manager Job Offer and Vacancy


​French family based in London, UK is looking for an experienced house manager for their 5-bedroom residence. 

Requirements
  • 5 years’ experience in a similar role 
  • Fluent English (preferably first language)
  • British butler training (preferably)
  • Ability to provide formal service 
  • Basic cooking skills (menu planning skills would be a plus)
  • A man in his 30s - 40s
  • Driving license would be a plus

Duties and responsibilities
  • ​Managing household budgets
  • Supervising and managing other domestic staff (2-3 housekeepers)
  • Stocking the house, shopping
  • Liaising with contractors
  • Providing butler service when the family is in the house 
  • Managing and maintaining employers' wardrobes (ensuring clothes are washed, pressed and arranged, shoes polished, etc.)
  • Managing and supervising the creation and upkeep of floral displays
  • Maintaining exhaustive, up-to-date inventories of valuables
  • Inviting and welcoming guests
  • Serving food and drinks, ensuring proper service at all times
  • Maintaining and cleaning valuable silverware, fine porcelain and crystal wares

Schedule
8:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday, weekends or weekday evenings as overtime whenever necessary

Salary
Salary 40,000 - 50,000 GBP per year (gross)

This is a live-out position. Trial period is 1-3 months
