Domestic Couple Job and Vacancy


​An experienced live-in domestic couple (a butler and a cook/housekeeper) is needed for a traditional English Country House (11 bedrooms) to take care of the property. The property is used by the Principals on weekends. 

​Duties and responsibilities

Butler responsibilities
  • Greeting guests 
  • Serving meals (3 times/day)
  • Serving drinks and tea
  • Ensuring the work of systems in the house
  • General household management 
  • Running errands 
  • Assisting in arranging special occasions 

Cook / Housekeeper responsibilities
  • Cook simple English meals (healthy) 3 times/day 
  • Cook dinner (for up to 12 people) when guests visiting 
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the house
  • Laundry 
  • Ironing 
  • Wardrobe management 

Other responsibilities
  • Taking care of a Principals’ dog 
  • Shopping
  • House security (locking up & putting alarms on each night)

Requirements
  • Working experience in traditional English country house
  • Knowledge of traditional English service
  • Fluent English
  • UK Driving License
  • Calm, flexible and able to multi-task

Schedule
5 days/week (Thursday to Monday)
Flexible hours (up to 12 hours/day) 
Start – ASAP

This is a full time permanent position. The couple will reside in a detached cottage house (furnished or unfurnished) within the territory of the residence. Bills included.  

Preferably no pets or children. 
Car provided 

Trial period: 1 month
