Nanny Job and Vacancy


An excellent opportunity for an experienced nanny A Russian-German family with two children (1 year old girl and 2.5 years old boy) is looking for a nanny in Immensee, Switzerland.

This is a long term part time position with accommodation provided (a fully furnished room in a shared flat close to the house, with a stunning view at the mountains, 30 minutes from Zurich, in a village on the shore of a lake); there is a private beach right in front of the house, swimming, skiing and the best Swiss tourist attractions are available.

Duties and responsibilities
Part 1: childcare
  • preparing children for the kindergarten, keeping children’s toys in order, playing with kids – excluding putting children into bed, which is always done by the parents
  • driving children to the kindergarten
  • babysitting when necessary, on short notice (children spend almost all time with their grandparents during the week and with parents at the weekends) 

Part 2:  housekeeping 
  • cleaning the flat 120 m2
  • cooking meals for the children and 2 adults
  • shopping for food and cleaning agents
  • laundry

Requirements
  • Country: EU passport only, except Bulgaria and Romania, in connection with the necessity to obtain a Swiss work permit;
  • Languages: Russian or Ukrainian is required, English, German, Spanish would be a plus
  • Driving licence 
  • Experience of working with children: own children, working in another family (min 2 years in the same family, preferably with two children, with written references and contacts of employers); working in a kindergarten (min 2 years);
  • 2 years’ experience of working as a housekeeper for a private family
  • Good cooking skills, especially making healthy meals
  • A degree in any subject is a big advantage
  • A cheerful and athletic person who can go skiing and boating with the family at weekends
