A family of 5 adults and 3 dogs is looking to hire a live-in Domestic couple for their residence in Sag Harbor, NY, USA.
The right couple has to be highly qualified domestic-housekeeper couple with long-term experience in a formal household.
The ideal couple needs to be pet-friendly, warm, communicative yet very professional. This is a live-in position to be filled for January 2021 on a long-term basis.
The accommodation will be provided: an apartment close to the property

Vacancy duties and responsibilities
- The house should be impeccable at all times especially when the family arrives
- Knowledge of how to manage a formal home with fragile items
- Wear a uniform
- Deep Cleaning, and dusting of all areas
- Vacuuming, cleaning, stain removal…
- Making beds
- Family Laundry with exceptional care, hand wash if needed, fix buttons if they fall
- Ironing (including the care of fine fabrics, linens, suits etc.)
- Clean shoes
- Cooking (at levels ranging from family cooking to gourmet dinner parties)
- Service at table and other butler responsibilities (with gloves)
- Chauffeuring as needed,
- Running small errand
- Vehicle maintenance (cleaning, scheduled servicing)
- Maintenance of outside furniture and terraces, pack and unpack for summer and winter
- Garage cleaning
- Pool house and gym area cleaning
- Basement and attic cleaning and tidying
- Care of crystal, china and silver
- Dealing with repair personnel, vendors, building staff, etc
- Clean dog poo in the garden if needed - gardeners usually comes twice a week
- Fix small items if possible
- Change filters and check equipment
- Clean windows if need be and if one reaches
- Look after the residence when the principals are absent
Profile requirement
- Minimum 3 years experience in private family
- Trustworthy and discreet
- Pet friendly especially dog lovers
- Has to be very flexible
- Fluent in English
- Speaking Spanish or Italian is a plus
- Driving license
Conditions
- Working hours: To be discussed (1 and half days off per week)
