The appointment of a House Manager (M/F) is required for a property located in Lottsburg, Virginia, USA. The House Manager will be responsible for staff management, events management, and property management.
The ideal candidate will be organized, resourceful, self-directed, who has a developed sense of service. This person will need to be able to operate all duties with the utmost professionalism, discretion and confidentiality.
This is a permanent, live-out position to be filled immediately.

Vacancy duties and responsibilities
- Working closely with a team to assist with scheduling travels trips for the owner and guests, and gathering all the necessary information
- Managing property staff (3 fixed staff members year round), to include housekeepers, outside contractors, chef/cook, handyman
- Organizing and approving the staff schedules
- Responsible for coordinating and monitoring all required maintenance and repairs, to include lanscaping, pest control, smart house technology and so on.
- Providing Executive office Manager with full details of any new accounts created for maintenance, utilities, at residences to ensure timely payments of such
- Coordinating and overseeing all access to property as need for special events, maintenance work, day and overnight guests by keeping a detailed electronic calendar
- Greeting the owner and/or guests upon arrival. Introducing guests to the property and their residence quarters. Answering questions and providing guest service during their stay
- Ensuring events are adequately staffed, to include collecting proposals for catering, entertainment, valet and other necessary vendors
- Overseeing household expenses and creating a process for property and personal inventory. Providing petty cash usage reports and receipts for both cash and credit cards. Conducting annual reviews in accordance with company policy
- Being able to perform minor hands-on repairs as needed (change light bulbs, troubleshoot AV equipment etc..)
- Additional duties may include inventory, housekeeping support, caring for family perts, coordinating vehicle maintenance.
Profile requirement
- 3 to 5 years of working within a private household or background in hospitality to include event planning and budget management
- Proficient with computer/internet and Microsoft Office products
- Able to quickly learn and operate Smart Home technology system, Audio/Visual system, Security system
- Successful experience understanding and following company procedures
- Must have a clear DBS
- Driver's license
