Qualified nurse / companion Job
A family is looking for a qualified nurse /companion to take care of Mr who is 82 years old based between Grimaud, French Riviera and Verbier, Switzerland. His wife needs daily assistance.
Mr is in good condition now but needs a daily care from the morning until night time. Assistance in the routine day (toilet, dressing, walking, medical appointment…)
Long term position, live in, for August. It is half of year in Switzerland and half in South of France, Var.
Duties and Responsabilities
- Helping in the daily routine when necessary
- Providing daily care (hygiene, get dress, help during meals… )
- Making company to Mister
- Reassuring the Mister and making him feel safe
- Arrangement of walks and leisure activities …
- Answering phone calls…
- Able to cook occasionally healthy food
- Shopping on demand
- Driving the couple to and from different appointments
- Being able to provide quick assistance at night time if necessary
Requirements
- 3 years’ experience working for private family
- Medical experience (Heimlich method)
- Driving License
- Good in English
- Good organizational skills
- Flexible and willingness to adapt
- Discreet and flexible
- Patient, Loving and friendly character
- Able to travel with the couple in south of France and Switzerland
Starting date: August 2019
Employment contract : Permanent , full time , Live-in position, travelling with the couple.
Accommodation : 1 bedroom with own bathroom
Probation period : 1 month renewable
